Red boots

I have had my attention swayed from sensible and weather appropriate black leather boots, to red boots
So very tempted by them. I was obsessed by red footwear as a child, refusing to wear any other colour shoes. I want these.
But I just can not see how I would wear them with tights. Even though I can forego the tights, there always comes that point when you just need tights. And I will want to wear the red boots all the time. So what colour tights? And are red boots not a good idea?

I love them! Not sure how you'd get around the tights thing; could you buy them and try them with different coloured tights (navy perhaps?). They're far too lovely not to buy, though.

You could wear them with blue or black denim, but also with cropped trousers for work, too.

They've even got them in Marks'. Shock.

I'm dying for a pair. I'm not "dressy" and would want to pair with trousers. But How?

buggerthebotox · 26/08/2017 10:18

Ah yes....cropped trousers.

WhooooAmI24601 · 26/08/2017 10:28

H&M do gorgeous skinny cropped trousers for around £12.99. I teach and tend to wear them a lot through the winter as they're stretchy enough for me to be on the carpet (reception age, not 14 year olds) with the children. I think they'd look good with boots.

Also Gap do bi-stretch skinny trousers in lots of clouds which are cropped and look lovely.

Craving these right now and no idea what to wear with. Dark denim of some kind is all I can come up with so far ....

I loved block heels in the 90s but can't get my head around their return.

Loopytiles · 31/08/2017 12:42

Suede is mega impractical so you wouldn't be able to wear them on rainy days.

Zxyzoey31 · 31/08/2017 16:21

Spray the suede with scotch guard and then you can wear them whenever.

I don't see why you can't wear them with tights. Black, navy or many other colours would look fine.

SimplyNigella · 31/08/2017 17:04

I've just ordered these from Topshop, I think ankle length trousers or rolled jeans will be the way forward as I can't see tights working easily enough for me.

rightknockered · 01/09/2017 01:44

I always spray my boots with protector spray. I still own a pair of black suede ones from last year that are in good condition.
Still not bought them. I can't until I've bought all my children's shoes, and then I can let myself make a decision. I'll have to try them on in store first.

Those Topshop boots are beautiful Nigella

What sort of spray do you use right? I've always been nervous around suede.

The Whistles boots are gorgeous and have you seen the M&S pair? So many nice red boots around.

Loopytiles · 01/09/2017 10:36

Spray has never worked for me, but those boots are pricey so perhaps higher cost suede is better wearing.
