What sort of bag with a parka?

Just that really - have a new parka but no idea what sort of bag - especially if it's not done up. I have small children and needs hand free but my cross body bag won't work and I can't see it working done up either.

Thinking no bag is the answer but not quite practical!

Satchel?

Parkas are a bit retro so something slouchy and hobo-ey?

Defo hobo, possibly with tassels if that's your thing. I have a lovely navy blue slouch bag with discreet tassels from Gap which was cheap as chips. When I finally pick a parka that is what I will wear with it.

I use a mulberry Alexa satchel (I have the oversized and the mini versions) when I wear my parka coat, I think they look ok whether I wear them across body or on one shoulder. Admittedly now I have dd in the pram my handbags usually end up in the basket.

Tote. Radley ones are nice.

I use Mulberry Mitzy crossbody bags with my parkas. I've got them in black, oak and a navy/white stripe and love them for slouchy parka days.
