Autumn wardrobe help

I have some money to spend on clothes for myself ( not the dc's ). I would like a few new bits for autum winter but not sure what to buy. I don't like to wear what everyone else is wearing so places like Oasis, Zara and new look are not really for me. I am a size 10-12, 5ft 3 (short ass) and prefer trousers to dresses. I'm not sure how I would describe my style, maybe slightly hippy, slightly Surf and slightly 'dress for comfort'. I would like some comfy but stylish trousers as I hate living in tight skinny jeans all winter.

Any suggestions where I can shop? And what to buy?

Re jeans why don't you get a more relaxed style and roll them or some flares?

I went shopping in town today and only bought a few bits in tk max, nothing that I really loved.

I love Nomads and some of Joe Browns (find them expensive for the quality). I will look at the other suggestions.
