Cherry red Dr Martens with...what??

I am currently lusting over a pair of cherry red DM shoes. I mainly wear black skinnies with boyfriend t shirts and baggy cardigans in blacks, greys, navy and khaki (yes I am a dreadful state). Would the cherry red look awful with this range of colours on my top half? I already have a pair of black DM Chelsea boots and would love something different on my feet. Please help clueless me before I make a purchase I regret!

I have cherry red DM's and I wear them with almost exactly the same stuff as you described. I also wear them with dresses and tights and chunky socks or leggings and a big sloppy jumper. I concede that I have zero style though.

I have cherry red ones. They are fab. I wear mine with shirt dresses/ black skinnies and a denim shirt.
