Wrap dress gaping at bust ... how to fix?

Going to a wedding on Sat and I have a lovely wrap dress, but it shows my bra at the front. I can put a safety pin there, but it looks crap, so does anyone have any clever ideas for how to fix it so it looks better?

You should be able to place an safety pin on the inside, so that it is invisible. If that doesn't work, how about a brooch?

Wear a lace vest top underneath.

Change your bra

If you don't mind the faff, I sometimes sew myself into dresses that gape like that. A few tiny hand stitches (either to hold the wrap closed, or to hold the dress onto the bra) can work wonders. You just need to work out how to place them so the fabric isn't tugging and it looks like it's just naturally draping.

Obviously that does mean you often have to unpick your way out...

Tit tape!!!

here to show you what it's like but cheaper in boots etc.
I swear by this stuff, always keeps clothes in place and has saved many a nip slip over the years Grin

I've sewn up the front of all my wrap dresses! Best to get someone else to pin it when you're wearing it, then run a line of stitching down the side of the 'top wrap' IYSWIM.
This is using a sewing machine, but could probably be done by hand.

Thanks ladies. I'm an absolutely shit seamstress, so sewing myself in would be bound to make it look worse than flashing my bra! The lacy top idea seems the simplest to pull off and I have several. I'm just happy to have found something in my wardrobe that I can wear so I don't have to buy a new outfit ...
