What tools do I need to style my hair like this?

I have seen a few women with their hair styled like this. I think it is stunning.

I am just about to straighten my hair but would like to be able to do this for special occasions. What tools and styling products do you need to do this?

I would use a styling creme, hair straighteners and a shit ton of hairspray on myself. Tongs if doing someone else's hair.

I would also not do it on freshly washed hair, but probably one day old. And not expect it to last.

Extensions?
Unless you are blessed with lots of hair, of course.

I've seen women with their hair like this but not extensions. It is a really, really glamorous look. I've seen a few people out and about shopping or in a restaurant and even though very casually dressed looked amazing due to gorgeous hair.
