Hi doozeldog, I have done before and it was fine. I bought a couple of Blue Sky ones from EBay and they dried perfectly. I have the LED lamp which dries in 15 seconds, is that the same as yours?

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/08/2017 20:07

No, you can only use the polish for that system with that lamp.

Uncured acrylic is highly allergenic & if you develop an allergy to acrylics you won't be able to have bone cement used on you if you need a joint replacement or dental cement.

You will also become allergic to all nail colour coatings. Everything's acrylic.

Dry doesn't = cured. Polish will dry at 60%+ cured.

But surely if you check the polish will cure with the same strength of LED as the Sensationail lamp it's OK? (I'm not having a go or saying you're wrong by the way, I'm genuinely interested!).

Yep, I've used the Sensationail lamp with Blue Sky polishes for ages and never had a problem. Cures perfectly.

It's not as simple as strength or wattage or timings.

Each polish is made with photo initiators that react with the uv in the matching lamp. There's plenty of lamps advertised as being universal but they're lying.

Every time your exposed to uncured acrylic it increases the risk of allergy. So you could be fine for years and then become allergic.

Dry doesn't equal cured.

Ah OK, I didn't know that, just thought they would be fine! Sorry for the bad advice earlier doozel!
