My husband likes shiny faces...help?!

So I'm in France and buying up most of the shelves of products (no clothes, too fat) and dh muses that "I've seen a couple of women like school mum x that look kind of shiny but glowing, they look lovely". Any ideas how I achieve the dewy look? I'm currently greasy and haggard all at once! Highlighter? Blusher? No powder? Posh genes? School mum is minted...

OP I also think HCC (hot cloth cleansing) can really help the skin; gently exfoliating it every day. Since I switched to it, my skin has that "polished stone" look that Natalie Portman has in Black Swan. If only I had the same colouring and features as she does...

If my husband said such a thing to me I'd tell him I could achieve a lovely shiny, sweaty face by chasing him around the house before murdering him!

Benefit are good for this sort of stuff, try High Beam. I mix a little bit with my foundation.

Husband is now terrified but some good ideas here if I fancy a change when back. I'm very big pored so not sure it would suit me anyway but I would like to look like I have a glow.

My DH loves having his ear bent about make-up and clothes and is always happy to give an opinion. His pet hates are matt lipstick - which is tough tit as I love it - false eyelashes and contouring; he is partial to a healthy looking cream blush and lipgloss. Poor bugger.

If you are quite large pored, you must use a good primer and I think a nice cream blush would give you a good starting base for glowy. Bobbi Brown pot rouge is fab. You could then buy a highlighter if needed but you might not - it's awful when faces look all Tin Man or if they've been shoved through a laminator.

If you've got large pores then keep your forehead, chin and nose free of shine and then highlight cheekbones and brow bones

I think that look is more about skincare than make up. Do get your brows and lashes tinted though.

Get hot cloth cleansing and use a serum such as Wake Up Wonderful by Ren.

So the Guerlain Météorites Balls are better than the compact? How glittery are we talking?
