I've had a shocker of a weekend and feeling very sorry for myself, so obviously new make up will help everything apart from my bank balance
I'm looking for a eye shadow palette, probably neutrals. Is the Urban Decay Naked one my best bet? Also, a bronzer/highlighter/blush palette. Nothing too shimmery. Was thinking about going for the Becca Sunchaser palette maybe? £70ish budget.

Hope you are feeling better now, OP. I'm not really sure about bronzer but I've a couple of eyeshadow palettes I love - UD naked, Mac (15 colours), which I have in cool but they also do a warm version of, a couple of quad palletes from Rosie by Autograph at M&S, and a Charlotte Tilbury quad. What can I say Blush I like eyeshadow, apparently!

I have just this evening bought two W7 dupes for the Naked palettes for a grand total of about £10. Figured if I liked the looks they create I can always upgrade but I suspect they will lie largely unused as I a, shit at makeup.

I've got thr L'oreal nude palettes. They're great and a fraction of teh cost of the naked ones. I dont get the hype about urban decay.

Bronzer, bare minerals tinted mineral veil is good or 'a touch of sun'.

MaisyPops · 21/08/2017 07:57
  • not tintes mineral veil. It's bronzing mineral veil

I have a bit of a hoard of eyeshadow palettes and my most used is by far the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette.

It's warm tones mostly and some of the shade look a bit intimidating in the pan but I use each one any day of the week.

Thanks for the suggestions. Will have a look at those. With the eyeshadows, I'm really looking for something highly pigmented and long lasting. Have a few cheap sets and they don't last past lunchtime usually. Or maybe I just need a good eye primer?

The Naked palettes are unbearable imo. I only have the first too and use the Naked2 one the most. I'm very pale white, cool toned, if that helps. They're fantastic for blending and really last.

@Ollivander84 is the eyeshadow expert. Don't know if the @ thing still works...

EnidButton · 21/08/2017 14:45

*unbeatable !

Ollivander84 · 21/08/2017 16:40

I'm here Wink
Yeah ABH modern renaissance for me, or makeup geek (beauty bay sell them)
I rarely use anything else now because the makeup geek ones are SO fantastic

I've got Naked One and love it.

I have just seen the new Marc Jacobs eyeshadow pallettes and they are beautiful. They were £39.00, expensive but beautiful colours.
