I'm probably jumping the gun as it doesn't open until later in the week but I'm interested in Arket - The latest addition to the H&M group.

I was getting quite excited until I read this article and the bit about how all we want is a navy jumper and a white shirt Clearly House of Colour aren't big in Sweden.

Had a look on their instagram page but it's mostly artfully arranged shirt cuffs.

Has anyone seen anything more? I really, really want to like it (but don't like navy or white).

Ah I've just found a preview - that'll teach me to try Google before starting a thread No prices or fabric info that I can see and, if it's all about quality and cut then you probably need to see it for real.

I quite like that Prince of Wales check trouser suit even if I did have one just like it (M&S) circa 1984.

I'm really excited about this opening - I've already given them my email address which apparently will allow me to order on Wednesday. Many of my most-worn items in my wardrobe are from Cos and & Other Stories, Arket sounds like a good mix.

I'm very hopeful that there will be natural fabrics - the shops I can go to now are becoming fewer and fewer, because I just don't want to buy polyester (Whistles, I'm talking to you ).

Can't wait!

I'm trying to cut down on registering with online shops but I'll alnost certainly crack by Wednesday.

Would anyone who's lucky enough to be able to visit in person mind reporting back?

H&M have also pushed out their Weekday brand in the UK recently. Jeans & stuff I think - more casual than their other brands. Arket prices supposed to be more than H&M - that doesn't say much. Preview styles all look enormous - I'm small & curvy so the oversized look generally doesn't work for but I've found COS trousers & basic cotton shirts that fit & flatter me so I'll be looking at their stuff as it is supposed to be good fabrics.

I've been watching them like a hawk since it was announced in March (I think).

Can't remember where I read it but prices are supposed to be around COS level but I'm expecting it to be slightly higher. I'm hoping it will be COS with a slightly more tailored fit. Also excited about the other non-fashion products, they're supposedly putting back into production a Scandi design chair from the 50s that have been on my auction watch list for forever.

Between this, the Uniqlo & J.W. Anderson collection, and the H&M and Erdem collection, I have way too many things I want. Good thing I actually need stuff. Unfortunately, nearest Arket store to me will be in Brussels sometime this autumn.

Just as an update - I ordered the heavy wool coat and it arrived today. its absolutely beautiful. Its quite a boxy cut but its gorgeous material and is very well made. for the price, I am so impressed.

off to buy the rest of the website if the quality is that good!
