Does anyone else find it hard to get trousers that suit them?

Unless they're jeans, trousers just look shite on me. Does anyone else have that problem? I'm 5'9, size 12 with decent legs that look good in miniskirts or shorts, yet I can't for the life of me find trousers that suit me!

I love trousers but I gave up on them completely for a few years because it was so hard to find any that fitted and flattered. I got back into them this year because there's a bigger choice of shapes around (really loving high waisted wide legs at the moment).

I think they're tricky because it's much harder to get the fit right than it is with a skirt. I have to really put the work in and try on loads and loads. They also need to hang properly so the fabric needs to be good quality, which means they're not easy to do on the cheap - I've found it's worth paying more.

Yes, all trousers apart from wide legged look shit on me, in my opinion. I don't wear them at all any more. I've got really wide hips and narrow legs so I don't think that helps. Skinny jeans and tapered trousers look particularly bad on me.

Skinny jeans are the only trousers I wear out of work.

For work my uniform trousers are navy, the trousers provided by my workplace are horrible so I wear M&S slim fit navy trousers regular length, they actually look alright.

Woodlice I find that skinny jeans look fine on me but tapered trousers or cigarette trousers look rubbish. I think part of the problem is that I carry any excess weight around my middle rather than bottom or thighs, so if a pair of trousers fits me around the waist then they are too big elsewhere and I get that dreaded baggy crotch effect!

Yes- I can never buy online either as the only way I can be sure is to try them on. So far the only ones that have worked have been an eye watering priced pair by Paige and also some 7/8 trousers by Boden. However Boden changed the fabric recently so they are rubbish again 😬

If only they could size jeans in different hip to waist ratios instead of waist/leg length combos!
