Bobbi Brown BB cream application - patchy. Help!

I've bought the Bobbi Brown BB cream. The colour is fine - better than Eborian in Clair - formula was excellent but colour was too dark!!

Bobbi's lightest is ok. BUT.

It doesn't go on well, like Erborian did. I need something to stick on under it, it looks like. I've got a Vichy moisturiser I'm using just now which improved things a bit. I don't know if anyone else has this problem with this product, but it is a nightmare to blend. Erborian was a dream but, too dark. Argh!

Any suggestions? I can't take it back now, I am hoping to get something to put under that will make all well. Its a shame as it has good reviews. With me, its either the shade or the consistency that is the problem! :(

With erborian and any other tinted moisturiser I mix with a primer or moisturiser I like the texture of....normally 50:50
I finish with a touch of powder with erborian so a paler one to cool it down or bronzer for a summery look
It means less coverage but it works nicely and the product goes further

I use a 'full monty' moisturiser under it. Then I use a generous amount and apply it quickly- if you hang about, it does dry patchy. I don't especially like it- I use the palest shade and it's slightly pink-grey - but use it for outdoors as it's a high SPF so wear it when exercising outside (long walks etc.)
