Hi all, I've been reading the threads about what to buy in France and Spain. We're off to France soon and I've come across Le Petit Marseille products online. Has anyone tried them and got any recommendations? TIA

Italy anything worth looking at?

mintbiscuit · 18/08/2017 22:25

Their handwash is super gentle. Never ever drys my hands out even after lots of handwashing. (Sorry I know handwash isn't very exciting!)

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 18/08/2017 22:28

Their shower gels smell lovely. Easily found in supermarkets (though prices have gone up a bit)

KarlosKKrinkelbeim · 18/08/2017 22:30

Do you mean le petit Marseillais? Their argan oil shampoo and conditioner is the dogs bollocks

ArieltheMermaid1720 · 18/08/2017 22:31

They have really good kitchen soap, it works so well at removing food smells from hands, you can also buy refills for the soap in squidgy packets to stock up. I also love the white peach and nectarine shower gel.

Fozzleyplum · 18/08/2017 22:31

We bought the showergel in Aldi in France; it was a lot cheaper there than in the local Intermarche. The Verbena one smells lovely.

My haul from a recent trip ... Regretting not buying more ...

The orange blossom shower gel is really lovely.

Mumatoo · 18/08/2017 22:50

So jealous Zappa! I got a huge Vanilla and Orange Blossom in Portugal. I managed to eek them out for almost a year last time. DH and the kids know I won't share😉

Buddy14 · 18/08/2017 23:08

Oh my god it's delicious stuff. The milk fragrance is my favourite. Buy as
Much as you can and then send it to me

OrangeButton · 18/08/2017 23:24

I also love it!! Got whole shelf full of their shampoos and conditioners (about 15 of each!)

officerhinrika · 18/08/2017 23:34

I used to lug loads of the vanilla showergel home every time.

Maladicta · 18/08/2017 23:44

We get the soap refills for handwash and tons of orange blossom shower gel, Carrefour had it on special offer Grin

I may also have four milk refills which fell into my trolley at the same time...

MinesaPinot · 19/08/2017 19:15

That's brilliant, thanks everyone.

The almond shower gel is amazing.

twilightcafe · 19/08/2017 19:26

I have two bottles of the orange/Verbena shower gel to take home from my holiday in France.

Polkadot1974 · 19/08/2017 19:26

I know what I'm buying tomorrow...

LadyPeterWimsey · 19/08/2017 21:34

I bulk buy every time we're in France - the olive oil handwash, the kitchen handwash ('agit contre les odeurs tenaces'), lots of different shower gels and the orange blossom soap - new block every time we have house guests. Sadly we weren't in France this year, and I'm running out...

LockedOutOfMN · 19/08/2017 21:38

DOP shower gels are also nice.

Karlakitten1 · 19/08/2017 21:39

DOP showergel is also lovely...they do a children's fun scents range...cola bottle, toffee, lemon cake abd their normal range is lovely too, lathers up really nicely.

Mary46 · 17/12/2025 12:07

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 17/12/2025 14:58

I always bring back from France or ask for this whenever someone’s going to France, I had 4 different gels one I think was peach or nectarine and one was the orange blossom one. On my last one now.

Mary46 · 17/12/2025 15:00

Zampa gorgeous. I think the shipping is dear to Dublin I have to go to France for them!
