Okay who is hitting the fluffy slipper worn outdoors look on here?

Anyone else noticed this 'look' going on down with the yoof?

I am sure if I did I would just look like I had locked myself out of the house or had lost my grip

It seems to need to be accompanied with a tan David Dickinson would envy and ripped jeans to cough sex it up.

However it is eye catching 😀

Oh dear. I've seen a few wearing them.
it'll be Autumn soon, the rain will put a stop to it

SleepFreeZone · 18/08/2017 13:07

I think they're called 'sliders' 😬

TheWoollybacksWife · 18/08/2017 13:28

DD2 came downstairs wearing hers last week. I commented that I had a pair back when they were fashionable the first time round and they were known as mules and worn as slippers.

She hasn't worn them since.

MrsGotobed · 18/08/2017 13:32

yep, saw a young girl wearing some in town last week and my first thought was slippers.

TBF though I work in a boarding school and lot of the girls were wearing them around the house so I had presumed they were slippers! Grin

NomDePlumeReloaded · 18/08/2017 13:36

DD has some. She bought them for 'by the pool' Hmm.

I have pointed out the obvious but alas, fashion trumps sense.

NomDePlumeReloaded · 18/08/2017 13:36

Sorry, should pint out that she bought them for our holiday. We don't have a pool at home.

ForeverLivingMyArse · 18/08/2017 13:38

I'm not a fan but have seen some people wearing them well! I do like rolled up ripped jeans though.

MineKraftCheese · 18/08/2017 13:51

Haha, I got a pair of these on ASOS (in sale for £5). They have black soles and the fluffy bit is a lovey sky blue colour.

Haven't braved them in public, I just have them by the door for popping out to the bins etc. Would probably wear them on the beach but not in the middle of the city.

They're not actually particularly comfy or easy to walk in Confused

Pestilentialone · 18/08/2017 13:53

My grandmother had some like that in the 70s

StillSmallVoice · 18/08/2017 13:58

They seem to be worn with a tight little bun on the top of the head round our way.

Kenworthington · 18/08/2017 14:01

Yup! Here are mine and I've been shuffling around in them since about march. Why wouldn't you want fraggles on your feet I say?!

LIZS · 18/08/2017 14:06

Saw someone in them on train to London yesterday - looked like she'd forgotten to change out of her slippers!

LIZS · 18/08/2017 14:07

And I wouldn't have described her as particularly youthful!

Highlove · 18/08/2017 14:10

Ah. I didn't know it was a thing. I saw a woman wearing some last weekend, as a PP says complete with horrific fake tan. And more gel in her hair than I'd have believed possible. I assumed it was just her and she was weird. Now I know.

They are grim.

NomDePlumeReloaded · 18/08/2017 14:22

Ah, DD does not have fake tan, she is see-thru pale (like her dear old Da). Minecraft, DD's have given her blisters on the tops of her feet and have rubbed her raw. So vicious are they that I've had to put some of those adhesive gel pads for heels over the bit that rubs, to provide a bit of cushioning.

Carmichaela · 18/08/2017 14:39

I think they are ok, but not if the fur is real. And on a lot of them it is, even when advertised as faux.

bunnybleu · 18/08/2017 21:11

I saw a mum in some at the doctors yesterday, I thought the were slippers!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/08/2017 21:33

DD has sliders but they're not fur (glittery which is slightly better)

I saw a woman out in a slobby grey tracksuit, hair in a messy bun, pair of pink fur sliders.

She looked fantastic.

No that's a total lie she looked like she'd rolled out of bed, lit a fag and gone darn Tesco

Ginkypig · 18/08/2017 22:10

Iv seen a couple of young(ish) women who work in the local hairdressers having a fag break both wearing them but I thought they were wearing slippers I hadn't realised it was a thing.
