It happens when I laugh or exercise. It's the perimenopause, isn't it?

Well, it's not Style & Beauty, that's for sure Smile

Maybe look into perineum physio? (Yes, there is such a thing)

Yes sorry I know it's not exactly style and beauty but in some ways it is. Blush

I get it when I simply get out of bed (several times a night - spend a fortune on the pants but luckily at Wilco it is 12 for a fiver!).

Please don't put up with it! There was an excellent thread last year in Exercise I think. I'll try to search if I have a minute later. It's likely to only get worse age. It can get much better with pelvic floor exercises. I'd highly recommend a women's physiotherapist to teach you how to do the exercises properly. Try visiting the Aussie site www.pelvicfloorfirst.com.au

I'll certainly look into that, thanks &Corrigans*, I'm pretty depressed about this...

If you're feeling depressed OP then have a look at this: a physiotherapist who wrote a comedy about the pelvic floor...I heard her on Radio 4, she is very funny. Also here: www.gussetgrippers.co.uk/comedy/
