What exactly is a "Brazilian"? I gather you leave a bit, but which bit?

what is "hollywood"? Is this every last bit taken off, and if you have this professionally waxed, do you have an actual beautician... right... in ...there?

If you shave it, is that not uncomfortable and dangerous? Or do you get better at it?

Presumably no one goes near these sensitive areas with Veet or similar?

Yours,

Scarlett, only if I'm in a bikini or something haha, it's not a normal occurrence cause most deodorants are not good for the skin..but it's a trick if you're in a pinch. Doesn't sting.
When I shave the labia I just hold them taught with my fingers and carefully go at it.

I'm a fan of the wax here. Although can't any more as am pregnant and man it stings like a motherfucker curse you hormones

I've had two Brazilian waxes since being pregnant. Cannot cope with a third (am now 34 weeks) so will wait until afterwards. Also can't really see down there any more so...

I shave there every other day. The first time I did it the itching was terrible after a day and I got the plucked chicken skin look. I wond Red what had possessed me because the itch was appalling. But I persevered and now it doesn't itch at all (seriously, never) and Indont get the chicken skin look either as long as I keep on top of it. It only takes a couple of minutes in the morning.

Regular waxing for legs and bikini (Hollywood) meant my hair basically stopped growing back, the waxer told me it was ridiculous to wax my legs when we could actually remove the remaining hairs with a tweezer

I now use an electric shaver and a Philips Lumea to keep the undercarriage maintained at home (there isn't really anything at the front now)

If getting a Brazilian or Hollywood for the love of god please don't get a strip wax - hot wax only on intimate or sensitive areas (strip fine for large areas like legs). Lycon wax was a complete game changer as it genuinely didn't hurt at all (although that might have been to do with not having much to remove)

Lycon wax is more expensive, but frankly my fanjo is worth it!

Oh and my DH doesn't give a shit about my grooming, he actually said he liked it when I had hair as it was womanly

I like it all off for ME, amazingly enough not everyone who waxes does it for the benefit of a bloke. I prefer the feel of being completely smooth, my choice to have it all off has absolutely fuck all to do with pleasing anyone else but myself.

TallulahBetty · 19/08/2017 10:55

I just shave it all off. I've had a Hollywood and definitely didn't get on all fours.

LOL at "Get a bloke who doesn't care about pubic hair". I do it for ME and always have done. I much prefer the look and feel of no pubes. My DH couldn't care less either way
