Can anyone help with my plight to find the perfect skirt for work please!

I have a small waist (size 8) but quite chunky thighs. I find pencil skirts don't suit me so im trying to find a knee length aline or tulip style skirt in black preferably.

Can anyone help please?

I tend to wear circle skirts to be honest. Lindy Bop have circle skirt suits at the moment. I think they have an A line suit on sale as well. Lindy Bop and Vivien of Holloway also do plain or toned down patterned circle skirts. Obviously they are a bit more swishy than a line, but as long as they fit you on the waist you don't need to worry about anything else fitting!

I'm a similar shape and I've also struggled to find A line. I've found places like Boden, Joules, Seasalt and the much maligned White Stuff are normally the best bet but they can be a bit jaunty so not great if you just want black. Hobbs sometimes do them - expensive but normally decent quality. H&M sometimes have nice ones but very short.

Tulip skirts don't normally work for me so can't help there I'm afraid.

I know you said you don't want pencil but just to mention that I find them quite flattering as long as they finish just below the knee - any shorter is a 'no'.
