Breastfeeding fashion

I'm going to a wedding next month and started looking for a new dress I can breastfeed in. Talk about depressing! Thought I was finally going to be able to wear normal clothes again after struggling to find decent maternity clothes. Breastfeeding adds a whole new element. Casual wear isn't too bad as can do the whole vest top under a normal shirt thing but more formal is a nightmare. Think I'm going to have to resort to a blouse and a skirt. Any ideas? Have you seen anything in the shops? I've looked for v-neck wrap type dresses but haven't seen much and they are so depressingly boring compared to other non-breastfeeding options. I think I just need a bit of a rant. My little guy is 10 weeks old and I want to feel attractive again!

What's the budget?

Look here : www.isabellaoliver.com/uk/m/shop/occasions/maternity-party-dresses

The maternity and beyond range has breast feeding dresses. Congrats on the new baby!

You can feed in the Ophelia Lindy bop dress, I wore that to a wedding recently and got lots of compliments.

There's a Facebook group called Can I breastfeed in it, they look at normal clothes you can feed in so usually have good ideas

Thanks for the suggestions. I've never heard of lindy bop but that Ophelia dress looks gorgeous! I think it would really suit my curvy figure so I think I'll order it. Just need to pick a color!

It's a great dress for a curvy figure! Enjoy the wedding.

Sadly they only seem to have it in a size 8! Guess it was popular. I checked several colours :(

Same problem here!

Wedding in October, DD will be 6 months. Having had a look around it would be easier to dress myself if I was still heavily pregnant.

I just want something that I can feel good in that I don't have to practically take off when I need to feed. Minimal budget unfortunately so I think my choice is even more limited. Help!

I loathe every style of maternity and BF clothing i have come across and i've found a way around everything so far. I went (was hassled to attend --that's another thread entirely) to a black tie event (with my baby Hmm) when he was about 6 weeks old and wore a full, high ankle/low calf, v 'statement' skirt with a silk vest tucked in. and i looked bangin', if i do say so myself. Wink

Ok I bought this dress today - www.phase-eight.com/fcp/product/phase-eight/sale-dresses/roisin-cap-sleeve-dress/204214250

Think I can just about get the goods out. Now I just need to accessorize!
