Between an apple and a pear!

I have been pear shaped all my life. However with the onset of a tummy [ perimenopause] I feel my shape has changed more to apple. Just wanted some advice on how to dress for this inbetween shape. Trousers are fine. Type of dresses and skirts would be helpful! i.e. pencil skirt, A-line, empire dress..that kind of thing.

I'm this shape at the moment as I'm a post pregnancy pear.

Skirts are problematic, most of mine rely on me having a waist (and now it's gone Sad), I have one skirt that looks ok that's above knee length and very slightly a-line with pockets, but I can't tuck tops in.

Dresses are better, I have one with a tulip shaped skirt that looks good. And straight shift dresses now surprisingly work when they never used to, provided I size up so they don't cling on my hips.

That is exactly it. I look post pregnancy! Round tummy makes skirts quite tricky.
I will try the straight shifts and tulip shaped skirts. Thanks :)

I have also found that pencil skirts are quite flattering. I have a lovely denim one in quite stretchy material.
