A good comprehensive brush set

can anyone recommend a set of makeup brushes. I feel I need to invest as all the tutorials online seem to use brushes and get good results with them. Definitely needing eyes, something for setting powder, blusher, etc.

Yes he is great isn't he.

Wow E.L.F very well priced!
thought it was interesting that Wayne Goss saw merits in many of the synthetic brushes whereas in the past I thought hair was the only way

Morphe are great mid-range brushes and come in some great comprehensive sets. I used to use Real Techniques but my Morphe ones are much better, no shedding

Yes synthetics are a lot better quality than they used to be.

I really like the Zoeva ones. I got the rose gold set with the makeup bag. I liked Real Techniques, but Zoevas brushes work better for me, they're softer, and the whole set looks a lot prettier on my dressing table. My RT brushes shed as well, had trouble with their buffing brush and the expert face brush. I do have and use their complexion sponge every day though and would recommend that to anyone.

Have a look at spectrum, they're really affordable and good quality. Another good budget buy are the real techniques brushes sold in boots.

I have so many brushes and my most used are all real techniques. Of you're just starting out treat yourself to some of their sets and then you'll get an idea as to the type of brushes you use most in order to them splurge on those singles

Another vote for Zoeva! I only have their eye brushes and a highlighter brush, but all apply well and I've been using them daily and washing regularly for a few years now and still lots of life in them.
