Has anyone used Eco Gel on their curly hair

A hairdresser recommended it to me and it's amazing! After cowashing and plopping, I smooth it through my hair, diffuse the roots and then let the ends air dry. Then I scrunch out the crunch and am left with well-defined curls. The best part is that it's less than £2 for a huge pot of it. I use the one with the red lid as it's the lightest, but there are about 5 variants for different hair textures. Definitely a game changer for me!

Oh!! Where do you get it from?

Ummmmgogo · 16/08/2017 20:20

any afro hair shop. it's the best gel I've ever used.

I've just got the green olive oil one. I've used it twice but I'm not sure about it yet. It is very thick and sticky.
I usually use UG scrunching jelly.

QueenoftheAndals · 17/08/2017 08:03

I'm in London so I get it from Pak's Cosmetics Centre but I think they have an online store too.

Dragonglass, I was using the UG jelly too but I think the red kid Eco Gel is actually better (and a fraction of the price!). Maybe the olive oil one is too heavy for your hair and you need to try a different version?

Maybe I will try that one then.
I did have more success with it today though. I watered it down a bit and that helped. It's a huge pot so will last for ages, if I can get it to work.

I've got the castor oil and flaxseed one...it's great, it's easy to use too much, but if I get the amount right it's so good.

I've got quite fine hair and tried a few different things, it does sound good but do you think it would ok on fine hair? Is it this one?

Sorry for long link

I use the coconut one which has been pretty good for curly hair and laying edges. Olive oil one seems to flake on me.

QueenoftheAndals · 18/08/2017 08:32

Yes that's the one Youcant, but that's double what I paid for it!

Oh, bugger.
Thanks though, just ordered the coconut one from eBay, £3, I don't think I'd get it round here in shops though so I guess that's reasonable enough for giving it a try.

QueenoftheAndals · 18/08/2017 09:47

I find anything with coconut oil is too heavy for my hair but see how you go. Even if it doesn't work it's only 3 quid so no big deal!
