My husband has always had a 'funky' sense of style. But lately, it's bothering me and I don't know why! We are going to a wedding and he wanted to wear: a LIME green sports shirt, and kakis. I got upset with him...
What do I do about this?

Stage an intervention.

Wouldn't say that was wedding gear whatever the colour! YY to an intervention. An intervention involving matches and lighter fluid (for the outfit, not the DH!).

I've got a very nice bikini in lime green and khaki, but I probably wouldn't wear it to a wedding.

Ds1 picks odd combinations like that. He's colourblind, but we tend to leave him too it unless we're going somewhere nice.

That's not jut bad dressing it's offensive. Would he even be allowed into a wedding wearing khakis? Don't most require a jacket and tie minimum? Disrespectful and juvenile and must be an embarrassment to you.

I love 'bad' dressers. Always innovative and entertaining. Don't stifle him!

He could wear a more casual summer type jacket and contrasting chinos if he has an aversion to suits.

DP has a very eclectic sense of style, it varies around three looks - PE kit chic, Middle Aged dad, super smart corporate, and full velour track suits. I have just learnt to live with it as he will change if I think what he is wearing isn't suitable for whatever reason. I wear what some people would probably consider questionable outfits myself so I feel I can't judge too much.

If your DH wants to wear that outfit to a wedding though he must be taking the piss? Not even DP would try that!

My DH is conservative to the point of tedious when it comes to clothes. He will also never throw anything away despite moth-holes/indelible stains/worn out collars (but doesn't notice if I do). When I bought him four lovely t-shirts from John Lewis in different colours he nearly had a seizure that I had dared to buy TEAL and MUSTARD (which suit him really well) instead of his usual navy and navy and navy. And occasionally a white stripe on a navy background.

So sorry OP. I can't exactly relate! I could lend him to you if you like just for the wedding? He would wear a charcoal or navy suit, with a sober striped tie, and polished black shoes!
