Petite Maternity Clothes

Hi all,

I'm 5ft, size 10 with a bit of a tummy and struggle to find clothes at the best of times - I think pregnancy is about to make this even more challenging!

I was just wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of petite maternity clothes? I've tried some regular maternity clothes in the shops and frankly, they have been hopeless - far too long in the body so they make me look dumpy, and trousers will just be far too long. I realise I might have to buy some regular items and get them altered to fit, but thought I'd try the power of Mumsnet first Wink

Any recommendations would be great!

topshop and asos do petite maternity wear. I think next do as well

It's hard

I'm almost 16 weeks pregnant with my second. ASOS do a small petite maternity range (includes some leggings, jeans and a few dresses) and Topshop do some pairs of jeans with a short leg. I have a couple of dresses from Gap (only online) from last time and they seem to be a decent length. But most things were on the long side.

I also sized up in some normal stretchy dresses, and when my bump was bigger it pulled the hemline up a bit so it was knee length instead of halfway to my ankles!

I've kind of accepted I'll look a bit of a mess this to me round! At least I only work part time now so I only need to make an effort 3 days a week!

Thanks for the responses both - I'll have a look online (it makes me too furious to go into Topshop because they don't seem to stock any petite jeans larger than a size 6...)

I am petite and bought maternity tops from top shop in my last pregnancy. Don't do it. They are shit. I now wear them to bed and I am not pregnant and size 8 and they are tight! There leggings were okay though.

New look stuff is good for fit but not long lasting quality however if just for one pregnancy that's not really an issue is it.

All my maternity jeans were topshop, they were good quality and comfy. I got my usual size (10) which i did manage to get in store, you could always look online and then do a stock check to see if your local branch has your sizes in.
