Really love these slippers but not paying 80quid a pop. Anyone know of anything similar? Imitation or just totally different but as stylish. Also afyer some metallic lace up flats that will work for smart casual and weekend wear.

Love the M and S ones but donr have a spare 45quid.

I looked at mahabis for about a year before deciding to just go with it

I LOVE THEM!!

I have them about 6 months and live in them at home
They have kept their shape and don't smell even though I wear them with bare feet
Will definitely repurchase but doubt I'll need to for a long while

Sorry I know I'm not really answering your post but just thought I'd say how really lovely (although I know pricey) they are

firsttimemum15 · 15/08/2017 21:21

They are lovely but I dont have money to burn could never justify that price on slippers. I understand that it was a big decision for you too but I couldn't do it. X

Are they actually comfy and cosy? I normally have sheepskin slippers that I live in (I work from home) and I was wondering if Mahabis are worth it?

domesticslattern · 15/08/2017 22:27

I was going to buy a pair but ye gods! The reviews on Trustpilot for Mahabis are dreadful.

HappyHoppy · 15/08/2017 23:20

I like Birkenstock Amsterdams - a felt upper on a cork bed- which you can usually find at reduced prices on Amazon. I bought Mahabis but thought they were not good - stank really quickly and soles kept flipping off

I really like my Mahabis, the winter ones I have are comfy and cosy
I wear them loads and they don't smell

I used to wear sheepskin slippers but found after a few months they moulded to my feet too much and lost support
Also used to wear the Northface tent mules (you can get them in outlets for €20) but they really make your feet sweat and get very stinky

I do like look of the Birkenstock amersterdams, love my birken sandals and would definitely consider them for a future prurchase.

I wear woolsies wool slippers which were £20. They aren't pretty but they last well and don't smell or anything which is a miracle!

Camper wabi - very similar in looks, half the price (less if you get them in the sale), and last forever. Really comfortable and well made too.

Lotsofsausage · 18/08/2017 10:46

I loved my mahabis. until the back seam split, my boyfriend's did too. such a shame :(

SunnySomer · 19/08/2017 12:51

I found Mahabis warm and comfy, didn't make my feet stink - but the edge broke in less than a year. When I asked to buy replacement slippers without the base they said I couldn't which I thought was stupid - they seemed to imagine I'd want multiple soles (to coordinate with my various pyjamas?).
Ultimately totally not worth the £££££

Thanks sunny
