I am 5ft 7" and a generous size 12 (nudging a 14), 40" hips to a 28" waist and 30G Shock boobs. I tend to shroud myself in baggy clothes and wear skinny jeans with long voluminous tops but I would love to be less awkward about my less than perfect body. I am free to shop over the next couple of days but know that my energy and confidence will be decimated by the experience of trying on jeans that are all too small so a heads up as to what direction I should be looking in will save a lot of heart ache. TIA!

The high waisted Molly ones in River Island are great.

Alexandra87 · 15/08/2017 20:26

Yeh I would also so high waisted would look lovely

Uniqlo have some good ones. I'm similar proportions to you - 24" waist, 36" hips - and their high rise slim fit ones are good on me.

MaryLennoxsScowl · 15/08/2017 22:24

Asos Farleigh, but watch out for all the ones with mad details like cut out hips!

I got two pairs of RI Molly mid rise today. Thank you. I only had to sail into the shop and pick up my size, make sure they fit and pay and go. Easiest shopping trip ever - thanks MN personal shoppers!

Next 360 jeans have always served me well! I tend to find cheap next jeans are awful on an hourglass figure but the pricier ones are better for someone who's got a bit of a shape!

I am the exact same measurements as you and my favourite jeans are Topshop Joni. They're the only ones that don't fall down.

Your body sounds fantastic, embrace it! I bet you'd look great in some well fitted dresses. High waist are definitely best for the curvy, I mostly buy ASOS ones.
