Navy shoes, what goes with them?

So I'm not a high heel person. I love ballet flats. I usually get my shoes from primark or sometimes new look. But they do take a while to break in, and I had literally no shoes that were comfy. Anyway, we were in tesco and a saw a pair of navy ballet flats in the sale, and the back was literally so soft, no breaking in needed with them at all. And they had my size, so I got them.
But.. what colours can I wear with them? I need to go shopping for some new bottoms anyway. I'm a jeans and trousers person mostly. What colour tops and bottoms go with navy shoes?
Also, it's my sons birthday in a few weeks. We are going to soft play in the morning, and for a meal in a nice local restaurant in the evening (nowhere too fancy or formal, just somewhere nice). I'd very much like to wear my navy shoes for comfort, but what colour dress can I wear with them? I usually love quiz for dresses, and I don't want to pay too much either. I don't like my body, so I don't want anything fitted. Any ideas on colour, and style?

Red looks lovely with navy, as does mustard/gold/yellow colours. I love a pair of comfy shoes!

Burgundy also really suits navy.

I'm not sure how those colours would work as bottoms though..

I wear navy a lot, with grey, burgundy, bottle green and cobalt blue.

I have some navy flats from Clarks. They look nice with burgundy trousers as PP said and I also like them with blue trousers. Examples of a couple of my outfits I wear them in below...

I always wear navy shoes with my jeans. In winter navy tights, dark denim skirt and navy shoes.

Denim? All shades. White? very crisp. Red is good, neutrals not bad especially grey and stone shades. Yellow is jaunty and bright greens also work until you add another colour. Turquoise, olive, coral. Not brown or black. Very versatile.

I had some navy ballet flats I wore with EVERYTHING. They were my go-to shoes for a good while. The only thing I didn't wear them with was black skinnies.

99% of my shoes are navy.

I wear dark blue skinny jeans or black leggings. Then tops/tunics in black, navy, white, purple, grey.

I've got some light grey skinny jeans that I love. Light grey with navy shoes? And er, white and navy top??
(I've seen a few lovely red dresses for my sons birthday though, how I didn't think of red myself is literally beyond me..)

Navy goes with everything

navy or camel coloured ankle trousers, crisp white shirts, mustard tops (not with beige) red and white breton top, maybe even coral?
