I ve tried to follow and make sense of what I should be using, but I have to admit I n completely lost! I don't know what alpha h is for and when i should use it, glycolic hyauralonic .... help. I tried to follow skin care treads here but they were already so advanced I m now so confused.
My 40th is rapidly approaching ! I need to up my game. I m fair and freckled have a few fine lines around my eyes and definite lines at my mouth :(. I need to arrest this.

Could someone please help? Where do I start ?

At the moment I use a cream cleanser,
Kiehls midnight elixir some nights, eye cream (nivea)
Day cream - eye cream, serum - avene one at the moment, sun cream.

Where does glycolic acid come in ? And what's hyalouronic acid ? What does that do ? Do I need it ? Should I do anything else ?

My budget is not massive ! Especially with September and back to school looming but I need to start somewhere and progress from there!
Most greatful for any help or pointers in where to go/ read

I've recently been and had milia removed from my cheeks at a salon spa and asked about a skincare regime while I was there as mine wasn't great and I was still using skincare aimed for combination skin when it isn't anymore

Turns out that my face has been so dry and tight for a while as I seem to have sensitive dry skin on my cheeks but get a little oily on my nose and forehead

It's sothys they stock and the lady recommended the morning for cleanser (can be used morning or night), an exfoliator for once a week and the velvet cream. A little on the pricey side but has been so worth it, been using just over a week and my skin is the best it's ever been

Morning cleanser that should say

Glycollic acid comes after cleansing. Nip and fab pads are a good price. I use it every bother night, some people use it more often. It's a chemical expiate, so if you use that don't use other exfoliaters.
Hyaluronic acid comes before or after serum, or instead, but before moisturiser. It stores water and keeps your skin moist, but you need an moisturiser on top.
The ordinary is a good place for good quality and price.

The one I don't like is hydraluron, too siliconey.

Ok thanks. I might think about looking to book to go to a spa for a treatment and see what they recommend. Rather than lots of experimenting. Am considering Botox, but need to get basics a bit better before I go there!
