Hair extensions & sport

Tell me the truth: I workout in the gym 3x a week & run a couple of times a week too. I had my hair cut into a short bob a while ago & regret it. Would it be money wasted if I went for extensions for a while, until it grows out more? Or just avoid the scissors & be patient?

I'm the opposite, as I loved my first Pilates class today without having to tie my hair back! The scrunchie and pony tail used to dig into my neck doing mat work, so it's a nice bonus of having a short bob for me.

Extensions are usually heavier than natural hair, so I wouldn't have them, especially doing as much sport as you. Could you try hairbands or a half pony tail/ 2 half pony tails?

You know what, CremeEggThief, a good friend has just been diagnosed with cancer & is about to lose her long blonde hair. I had cancer 13 years ago & lost my ( then very long) hair. It's reminded me that I really need to get back to real life here & just enjoy what I have. I've been obsessing about my hair for no real reason recently. Life's too f'g short to fret about hair.

I'm really sorry to hear that, MrsMuddlePluck. Very best wishes for your friend to make a good recovery.Flowers

Hey lovely!

I am an avid hair extension wearer
Have been for 15 years
I gym 5/6 times a week and find them no bother
Dry shampoo and a sink shampoo of the top to keep them fresh x
