String painkillers and determination got me through it somehow. Jesus Christ that was an experience!

I can't even do the backs of my knees!

BrieAndChilli · 14/08/2017 11:34

I actually find the bikini line (where the leg meets as opposed to actually on the lips) much less painful then the back of my legs.

Orangebird69 · 14/08/2017 11:36

Omfg. I'm a seasoned epilator. I can do my legs and most of around the front of the bikini line but not underneath 😮. The wax comes out for that. Although I am a right hairy mary in that area. Really hairy 😣

sortingmyselfoutslowly · 14/08/2017 11:58

Didn't do underneath... but enought to wear swimsuit!

I have massive PCOS issues with hair so this is a big deal, to get it sorted :)

Well done! I've been doing it for years, never bothered with painkillers, and it gets less painful over time and some of the hair stops growing back. I have bald patches! Key thing is to make sure the skin is as taught as possible.

CoolCarrie · 14/08/2017 12:21

Excellent well done, I haven't managed there yet, but will grind my loins when the weather peaks up here.

sortingmyselfoutslowly · 14/08/2017 16:18

How long does the pimply rash take to go down? I'll be on the beach in 2 days, is that long enough?

I use an epilator on mine, been doing it years so no longer painful and very sparse regrowth now.

AnneLovesGilbert · 14/08/2017 16:51

You need some Tend Skin! The bumpiness never really went for me before, I was just used to it. Didn't have any colour, just bumpy.

I saw this stuff on something in Buzzfeed and it's a life changer. Expensive and smells horrendous but my god it works. And quickly!

sortingmyselfoutslowly · 14/08/2017 17:35

Thanks Anne I will try Boots at the airport!

Nom I'm really not that tough! Just was desperate not to shave for holiday and too late notice for a wax. Will definitely do it again!

I learn so much from mn.

Queenofthedrivensnow · 14/08/2017 18:33

I do it with an epilator it's not that painful. Baby powder before you start so the skin is v dry.

fredabear · 14/08/2017 18:38

Shock I have one of these its ace

Orangebird69 · 14/08/2017 18:42

Yeah freda, but I try to stay away from shaving tools. Regrowth is usually itchy and way too quick.

IHaveBrilloHair · 14/08/2017 19:56

Shaving only gets it smooth for about ten minutes, hairs there grow back so quickly and shaving also gives a really blunt edge, so prickly.

CoolCarrie · 14/08/2017 20:26

Antihistamine taken before hand should help with redness from any hair removal, especially using an eplitor or waxing.
