Hair serum

My hair is very frizzy not on top but just at the sides probably too much dyeing. Have just had it cut into a bob shape and longer at the front. Still frizzy at the sides. The hairdresser said not to use wax as it is heavy on the hair but to use serum but she never recommended anything. (And I never thought to ask!). Can any of you very helpful people recommend a light serum to put on the ends of my hair to sort the frizz please and it will look smooth. Thanks

Tresemme Oil Elixir is really good and not too expensive.

Ollivander84 · 13/08/2017 00:40

Water based lubricant (don't laugh!)
Check it's a non silicone one, works a treat

violicorn · 13/08/2017 00:41

Really, Olliv?!

gamerchick · 13/08/2017 00:42

I just use Asdas own. I have the same cut as you and I've used a LOT of different shit on my hair because I'm a fanny over it.

I use Asda extra firm mouse and Argan oil heat defence leave in spray before hair drier and straighteners, then use a blob of Asda protecting serum to smooth over them hairspray.

It keeps it under control but I have to wash every other day.

Don't bother fucking about with expensive shit. Been there and did the washing up liquid to get it all out.

Ollivander84 · 13/08/2017 00:43

Yep, I use it every time I wash my hair!

gamerchick · 13/08/2017 00:44

And use a big rounded brush with the hairdryer, heat, curl then heat off, hold for the big C to cool then onto the next section.

Your hair will be trained.

I feel that this is either the best tip ever or an elaborate prank...

Says someone who burns from lube so has at least 6 types...

Mollypolly2610 · 13/08/2017 01:01

Moroccan Oil, or another argan oil serum, perhaps?

Or Goldwell Kerasilk.

violicorn · 13/08/2017 14:15

Well that escalated quickly! Hahahahaha

Cakescakescakes · 13/08/2017 20:19

The absolute best serum I've ever had is the Avon one in a green bottle. I've tried dozens as my hair is frizz central. It smells nice too and is so cheap - only £3.85 at the minute.

I use a smallish pump worked into wet hair before blow drying then a few drops through the ends when it is dried and straightened. (I have a shoulder length bob). It's really lightweight so doesn't make my hair greasy at all.

Mollypolly2610 · 22/08/2017 22:37

Thanks cakes cakes cakes. I've bought the Avon one you've recommended.
