Nice maternity dress for a wedding?

I'm 6 months pregnant and attending a wedding as a guest next weekend, but I still haven't found anything nice to wear.

I'm really struggling to find something that looks like 'me' if that makes sense? I hate the word 'boho' but I that's the best one I can think of to describe my usual non-pregnant style - basically a trendy hippy at a wedding! All of the dresses I can find are just too formal for me and make me look like I'm dressed up as someone else.

I tend to suit mustards and greens and I'm a fairly tall size 12 with huge boobs at the minute. I hate the tops of my arms so ideally I'd like a maxi dress with enough of a sleeve to hide them.

The closest thing I've found are the two attached pictures. I like the style of the red dress but I really don't suit red and I think the yellow one is lovely except if has buttons all down the front, I'm not sure why but I think they spoil the dress.

I really don't want to look shit at this wedding so if anyone can point me in the direction of a lovely maternity dress that I might like, I'll be extremely grateful & would even send you some virtual wedding cake and my guest allocation of wine.

Oh and my budget is up to about £70 which has ruled out all of the nice Tiffany Rose dresses.

I think you'll struggle to find anything else that style without a massive budget. I think they are both gorgeous dresses.

Not sure if you like any of these ?

I picked up the dress below from Debenhams around 5 weeks back, it was £38. I wore it to a wedding I was 28 weeks pregnant with a large bump. Despite the dress not being maternity it accommodated my bump well and I would probably get away with wearing it whilst not pregnant.

Thank you ladies. Sofa I think you're right - the nice maternity gear seems so expensive for something that you won't get a lot of wear out of. I've been getting a lot of my everyday clothes from eBay for that reason.

Lucie that dress is lovely. I can't find it online but I'll pop into my local Debenhams this week to see if I can see it or something similar.

Just seen this on ASOS, beautiful. Wish they did it in the standard line.

It really doesn't need to be a specialist maternity dress. Pretty much any maxi dress will skim over your bump quite happily. I bought maternity jeans and trousers but made it quite happily through pregnancy in normal tunic and maxi dresses. Have you looked at Monsoon?

Dress 2 that livebymysofa posted is lovely!

OutComeTheWolves · 14/08/2017 07:36

Livebymysofa they are lovely dresses. I saw the blue one the other day but it wasn't available in my size. I've just looked again though and now it is! Asos are good with returns so may order a few to try on. Thank you!
