I won a bottle of Britney perfume

A couple of weeks ago I won a bottle of Britney Spears Circus perfume at the village show.

Never in a million years would I have bought this myself but today I had a squirt and it's actually really nice. I keep getting a waft of Britney whilst doing the housework.

Have you tried any perfumes and been surprised by how good they smell? Now I'm wondering what all the other celeb perfumes are like.

100ml that should say

cherryblack · 12/08/2017 16:26

A few years ago my daughter had a bottle of Kate Moss perfume and it was lovely.

I quite liked the Katy Perry Purr fragrances, you can get 100ml for about £12. I've tried the one in the dark purple bottle and the pink bottle, both wearable.

NachoAddict · 12/08/2017 17:50

Oh I liked the Kylie one too, I think it's sweet darling.

I used to love Vera Wang Princess but it never lasts on me.

EnormousDormouse · 12/08/2017 18:04

I bought SJP Lovely after it was recommended here - it's really nice and was cheap as chips (about £15 for 100ml). Hope you like it too!

I have Rihanna Rogue and it's GORGEOUS. I'm normally a proper perfume snob. It's my dirty little secret Grin

cherryblack · 12/08/2017 18:34

Allfur yes I'm a perfume snob too and now Britney is my dirty little secret Smile

I love Britney perfumes, all of them. I order them from Amazon and people always ask what I'm wearing!

I worked for Chanel for years and I do love Allure sensuelle too- that's my treat perfume for birthdays and Christmas. But I do love Britney ones and also the Jade Goody ssshhhh one as mentioned above!

Shadow01 · 12/08/2017 19:39

I love sjp lovely, it was my day to day perfume for ages.
I recently brought the One Direction one after smelling it in a shop, it's gorgeous and lasts well.

Kraggle · 12/08/2017 19:46

Britneys Curious has been my daily perfume of choice for at least 10 years, I love it.

Tastesjustlikecherrycola85 · 12/08/2017 19:50

I really liked the Harajuku lovers perfumes by Gwen Stefani

squoosh · 12/08/2017 19:50

A massive wedge of Britney Spears' income must come from perfume sales.

BonstanceBarroll · 12/08/2017 20:22

Ah, Britney Spears Fantasy The Naughty Remix is just delicious and always gets a lot of compliments. Adam Levine for her is a treasure, and well worth buying if you like santal scents - I believe the nose behind it was also the creator of a few Tom Fords. Madonna Truth or Dare Naked is beautiful too, although quite heady. I like gourmand/spice smells but quality aromas, and a lot of the sleb perfumes are made under licence or by large companies such as Coty or other well known perfume houses so are of a similar quality. Hours spent perusing Fragrantica threads has helped with some fantastic finds plus a good way of finding scents that I know I will like based on the similarities to old/discontinued ones. Next on my to try list is Queen by Queen Latifah; syrupy boozy spice apparently;)

alltouchedout · 12/08/2017 23:10

I like Britney's Fantasy. Kate Moss Velvet Hour used to be lovely. And Primark's PS Love Noir is surprisingly gorgeous.

fabuloussnowflake · 13/08/2017 19:53

Halle Berry Halle was quite nice :)

papayasareyum · 13/08/2017 20:21

I love the Britney perfumes, but really don't like Lovely. It has a stale, unpleasant odour

JaneEyre70 · 13/08/2017 22:05

SJP Lovely is my everyday perfume now, I absolutely love it and it's soooo cheap. I go through phases with fragrance, but found Eden Perfumes through Mumsnet and they are really good smell-a-likes for £18. I've got their version of Flowerbomb, Dior Addict and Chanel. You'd never know, they just don't linger as long but for £18 I can live with that.

CantChoose · 13/08/2017 22:13

My friend works for the team at Coty who develop a lot of these. They're all developed 'properly' with the celebs having variable amounts of input... she used to send me massive free bottles of SJP covet which I loved but is now discontinued I think :(

Chickoletta · 14/08/2017 10:17

Another vote for Glow by JLo, but I keep it in a drawer rather than on my dressing table...!

hellswelshy · 14/08/2017 19:51

I had a impulse squirting of a Britney perfume in Debenham the other day - the light blue one? - absolutely loved it!

IncognitoBurrito · 14/08/2017 20:08

Haha, squoosh proper laughing at 'Sweaty Desire by Carol Vorderman'.

MadisonMontgomery · 14/08/2017 20:22

I LOVE a Kim Kardashian perfume - it is the one perfume I get loads of compliments on and it's mortifying to have to tell people what it is.

demirose87 · 14/08/2017 20:40

I love the naughty remix fantasy by Britney. I like a Jlo one too. I think its called Jlove and in a square bottle. It reminds me of hugo boss orange.

demirose87 · 14/08/2017 20:45

I think the victoria Beckham one smells like dior pure poison but a less concentrated version.

CaptainBrickbeard · 14/08/2017 20:55

I'm wearing the Lidl dupe for Coco Mademoiselle - it's called Suddenly Madame Glamour - it's delicious and only £3.99. I have ordered a Milton Lloyd supposed to be a dupe for Alien as well; it cost a fiver Blush.
