Multiple salon hair fails with pics. What to do now?

So I hope these pics upload in order.

I got a cheap deal on Groupon for a cut and colour on Groupon and asked for picture 1. I'd not been to this salon before and she said what I wanted would be an extra £30 which sounded fair. Instead of a balayage she put loads of my hair in foils and I ended up with picture 2 (which I hated!!)

Straight away I went to my friends salon (if she's on here and recognises my post, I'm so sorry!!). I asked for picture 3 which is a chocolate brown with lilac/brown highlights which is what I really want my hair to be like now (more on that later). I ended up with pic 3 (plum base with orange ends). My friend realised it didn't really look that good and offered to put more of the base colour running through but no lavender in the lighter bits but couldn't fit me in for another week and a half.

The colours just didn't go and I didn't want to wait that long so put a violet box dye on the ends (pic 4) which is permanent. Although it looks better than before, I still want it to be more of a Smokey purple. Is there anything I can do to salvage this? I really don't want another salon trip but have spent over £100 on my hair and basically ended up with something I hate Sad

I've ordered a grey dye to make the violet look more Smokey and muted but have a feeling it is now to dark for anything other than black to take hold.

Please help!!

Thanks *Almost. It's still a work in progress as I want to get rid of the ombre look by extending the dark down and then redying the light bits to get closer to the original pic I wanted.

I know I should have complained but I find it excruciating and would much rather just pay to get it redone elsewhere. I've learned my lesson never to get my hair done through Groupon!!

I really like your hair in 3rd picture, not too sure why you think it looks bad.
With these kind of colours it often takes more than one visit to complete.

Off topic but how do you put that rabbit over your face on photos?

Your hair looks fine. Leave it alone. And looking at what we can see, you aren't a 'blob' at all. Do you have issues with your self esteem, trying to change your hair etc all the time?

Another poster who'd had bad hair extensions posted your picture 1, or something very similar. Unrealistic to aspire to unless you have super thick, wavy hair or are prepared to spend a fortune. The other model pic also has very different hair from you. More sensible to find models/actors with hair more similar to yours.

One thing to note is that in the pictures you like the hair is balayaged so some of the dark plum colour goes right to the bottom of the hair. The whole bottom of your hair looks like it has been lightened so you need to ask for some of the darker colour to come down the lengths to achieve the balayage look.
