Uniqlo "silk touch" shirts/blouses - sweaty?

I keep seeing Uniqlo silk touch shirts recommended as an alternative to real silk. They get great reviews online.

BUT they are a rayon/polyester mix. So won't they be really sweaty to wear?

Does anyone have any? And if so, are they sweaty?

Cannot tell you, from experience, if they will make you sweaty, but rayon is a cellulose based man-made fibre and is more absorbant (by approx 50%) than cotton, so this material should be ok to wear. Certainly worth a go considering the price.

Thanks molecule, that's interesting to know.

I have two. Not sweaty but I wouldn't say they look or feel like silk either. Ido really like them as they are very non creasy

Agree, they're nothing like silk, though they do have a nice drape. I haven't found mine sweaty but I am very sedentary at work and drive there rather than taking tube etc.

Are they machine washable?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 10/08/2017 09:54

Yes and I hang mine on a hanger to dry so they don't need ironing. They are great!

Good - it sounds like they're worth a try. I'm always on the lookout for work tops, and the less ironing needed, the better (Boden Ravello - I'm glaring at you!)
