Rain proofing my wardrobe

Having spent my life avoiding rain and not being bothered by it when I was younger, Ive now realised I am woefully unprepared to start the school run routine!

What bits should I look out for to rain proof myself and any genius tips for hauling a 6 month old with me on the school run on rainy/cold days. It's going to be a car ride and a 10 min walk into the school.

Waterproof raincoat and "mum boots"!

I'd like to know the answer to this too! Particularly to have a chance of looking respectable when getting to work afterwards. I have a raincoat with big hood sorted (Protected Species, after recommendation on here). But how to keep your legs and feet dry?

Feet and legs - riker boots!
