Cordless straightners?

Do any good ones exist? I am a GHD girl but need something to leave at work for damp days to fix annoying kinks. Anything out there?!

I did get some a couple of years ago (I can't remember the make). I got them from Amazon. They were utterly crap! They just don't get hot enough to work. Could you get a cheaper set of electrical straighteners to just leave at work?

powerjen · 09/08/2017 21:19

I have the glamouriser cordless straighteners and they are pretty good. They are a bit slow to heat up and I doubt they'd be any good for straightening from scratch if you see what I mean. Excellent for re-doing fringe/ top layers that have gone wavy due to rain/general UK dampness.

I have just put mine in the charity bag. Babyliss, and totally useless. They just don't get hot enough. I've now moved to a gym that has plug sockets in the changing rooms!

All the ones I've tried have been useless.

I once bought some 12V ones for camping and it blew all the fuses in the car.

Cordless schmordless.

Powerjen is that the brand name, glamouriser?

The quest continues!

powerjen · 09/08/2017 21:57

It's these: www.boots.com/glamoriser-free-styler-cordless-straightener-10199225. (I got them on offer from Argos last summer I think) I did extensive research (aka wasted hours on the internet instead of working) and they seemed to consistently rate well.

londonista · 09/08/2017 22:03

Oh thanks will check them out.

londonista · 09/08/2017 22:10

£70!!!?

zolaaa · 09/08/2017 22:12

Wanted cordless ones so I can sneak into the toilets at work with them! I will take a look at the ones powerjen recommends as it really is just for rainy day emergencies that I need to polish the 'do' a bit!

Ooh yes just clocked the price too! Maybe I will have to embrace the frizzy kinks!
