Shortening the length of a split

I've picked up a few t-shirt dresses in the sales and I'm pretty happy with them but a couple have side splits that seem to go up a bit too far. Is there any way I could make these splits less thigh almost arse showing without ruining the dresses?

You would need to unpick the top stitching and sew the split back up...which can be tricky on t-shirt fabric.

You could have a go at hand sewing.

Or use some coloured tape or strips of fabric to sew down on the split, easier if you have a machine

Wear them over leggings or cycle shorts
