Grey patent mid heels - an impossible dream?

TheMogget · 09/08/2017 12:30

I am going to a wedding in a few weeks, have a lovely aqua skirt with flowers on to wear with a black top, wanted to get some patent grey mid height heels to go with it but I can't find any!

Tried House of Fraser, John Lewis, Debenhams, New Look, Dotty Ps, Oasis, Clarks, Next, Schuh, Office, ASOS... Can't find any online, ordered a few pairs and sent back!

I don't like the 'barely there' style as they make my feet look odd, also need a size 8/41 (big foot!).

Any ideas or do I need to give it up?

What about these on Shoeaholics?

How about these?

They also have some with a small bow on the side, in the sale. They look like they are out of stock online but it might be worth calling to check availability in store. Hope this helps!

I got some in New Look last year. Let me see if they still do them...

itstheyearzero · 09/08/2017 13:30

The ones I bought had a chunkier heel, but these are similar...

Oh drat sorry, they don't have size 8 in stock Sad

itstheyearzero · 09/08/2017 13:34

Are these too high?

Lk Bennett?

WavingNotDrowning · 09/08/2017 13:40

LK Bennett florets? Not mid heel but very comfortable and flattering. I just got some grey ones.

TheMogget · 09/08/2017 13:43

Thanks all. Not keen on those block heels miss, LK Bennetts are ok but more than I'd like to spend really tony.
itstheyear I keep finding those New Look ones, they would be ideal but not my size (went and had a look in the shop too yesterday). The Nine West ones are ok, was hoping for something different to a big standard court but it might be where I end up!

Heel height up to about 3.5" I reckon.

Not in my size Sunny Sad

Too ombré? Struggling to think of anywhere else to try!

Have you tried JustFab? I know everyone hates the subscription thing but you can buy without it and I have a lot of their shoes- my wedding shoes and all time favourite pointed courts are from there. The 8 fits me well- I'm an 8 but a 41 like you, not a 42 as sometimes 8's can be!

NoParticularPattern · 09/08/2017 14:05

Just adding that I can't look for you as the colours on my phone are absolutely shot to bits so I couldn't tell you if I'm looking at grey or red much less patent!!

ElspethFlashman · 09/08/2017 14:12

Check out a brand called Anne Michelle on Amazon. Cheap, very good reviews and uncannily like those New Look ones.

Ollivander84 · 09/08/2017 15:11

Too high? My friend wears them for work and swears they are mega comfy. They do a flat version too

Maybe too silver but a nice shape and not too high?

Thanks everyone. Get the feeling I'm fussy...
twostep Dune ones are okay but I'm loathe to spend that much on a pair of courts for one day!
missjoanie yep, too ombré Sad
noparticular I'm not adverse, but nothing available
elspeth I've see those but I keep trying shoes on that are weirdly 'deep' across the balls of my feet so there's a gap between the shoe and my foot Confused and they look a bit like that.
SOF possible but a bit dull (see I am fussy)
Hang on will look at others...

TheMogget · 09/08/2017 15:40

Ollivander but silvery I think...
missjoanie quite liking the Faith ones... just off to see if I can find out how high (I have sworn to stop buying shoes I can only walk in for a few hours)

Alternatively I have spotted some seconds of the LK Bennett Florets waving mentioned so will keep my eye on those.

@missjoanie 3.5" heels... I'd seen them on Debenhams but they were wide fit. Order for collection tomorrow... keep your fingers crossed!

Thanks to everyone for looking for me! I'll be back if they're no good!

OP posts:
TheMogget · 09/08/2017 15:58

Oh FFS. The order confirmation confirms they are wide fit.

Back to square one Angry
