Does anyone know if there's a website where you can type in a perfume you like and it will.list others that are very similar?
I've fallen in love with Jo.Malone Oud and Bergamot but when I tested it it didn't linger longer than 3 hours max. At that price I'd expect something more lasting. I've tested lots of Oud combinations but can't find anything that smells more or less the same. Any help appreciated.

Try the Nose quiz for suggestions: nose.fr/en/

If you look up Bergamot and Oud on Fragrantica, it lists many suggestions, including the fabulous L'Air du Desert Marocain by Andy Tauer.

Thanks so much. Will take quiz and check fragrantica.

Be careful with Nose- I did their trial thing a few years ago, and duly ordered their recommendations- some I loved, some were mingers, but none were remotely like any of the fragrances I'd typed in for my diagnostic. Chatting to other people who had typed in different perfumes, we'd all been sent more or less the same (ie am convinced the "diagnostic" diagnoses whatever Nose is pushing that particular week.
I did it again last year - simply because it's a cheap way of getting hold of samples and trying new things, and almost all of the ones that came had leaked, and you could no longer read the names on the labels.

Fragrantica/The Perfume Society Fragrance Finder/Fragrances of the World/Basenotes all have diagnostic tools- or you could simply put Oud and Bergamot perfumes into google and see what comes up.

JM fragrances are notorious for being expensive and not long lasting. I'm sure you'll find something similar, but better value and with greater sillage.

I buy JM smell alike oils on Perfume Parlour, they last all day and smell the same.

Thanks for that Dame. Will definitely be checking that site out. And thanks for warning about Nose iwantto. I went in there yesterday but found the site so confusing, I gave up. Which sounds maybe no bad thing.

A second recommendation here for Perfume Parlour. I haven't tried the JM ones yet, but those I have tried are excellent and long lasting (and VERY inexpensive).

A third vote for PP.

I am currently in their seasaltsagewood thingy (can never remember the order Grin) which is the JM I love the most- and it's identical and longer lasting.

I've ordered 3 3ml samples and am on notification list for when oud and bergamot is back in stock. Really intrigued to see what the ones I've ordered are like. They are all oud based ones that are way over my budget.

Iwantto smell, I've just ordered some of the JM seasalt one, plus a load of others, including some Lacoste-a -likes for DS. I still couldn't get the order to over £15!

This is a great thread. I love Tom Ford Venetian Begamot but it doesn't last at all. I will duly use recommended sites, not forking out another £155!!!
