Wedding evening do-outfit for dd & myself

We're (husband & kids) are invited to a friends wedding evening do. DD, 12, is quite a tomboy & hasn't worn a dress since she was about 3! I'm a bit stuck as to what she's going to wear! She doesn't need to wear a dress at all, she can go in whatever she feels comfortable in. I've seen this on the next website, I haven't shown it her yet, I'm thinking because it's 'adidas' she'll think it's pretty cool, but is it too casual for an evening do?! She wouldn't do dainty sandals either so it'll be a pair of skater pumps or something! My friend who's getting married knows DD & that she's a tomboy & really doesn't mind what we all wear, she's just glad we're coming but I'd still like us to show we've made an effort.

Now for me - let's just say DD takes after me, yep I was a tomboy too! I can't remember when I last wore a dress!! Anyway I really don't suit them, I feel awkward in them & I look like I've just been plonked in them! I've got an awkward body shape, it's so mismatched. So I got this blouse/shirt from Tesco ages ago in the sale, thought I'd wear that with a pair of those control leggings from primark & black ankle boots or black ballerina pumps. At least husband & ds are sorted, easy for them!

I thin both of those outfits are fine for an evening do. Enjoy!
