Goodwood Revival

I've been invited to the Goodwood Revivial in September on Corporate Hospitality. I've never been (Festival many times in jeans and wellies!) and several people asked if I was dressing up. I know it is a vintage event but does anyone know the score on whether people really do or is it just a few on the website, And if they do, what am I going to wear? I'm 5ft3, size 14-16, well knockered and have very short hair. Victory rolls etc are definitely out.

Please help!!

Google the event, go into images and see what people are wearing. I'd wear a dress with flattish shoes son that your heels don't sink into the grass.

Yes people really do dress up! I've always wanted to go. Have fun!

Practically everyone dressed up when I went last year - it was lovely. I wore a 50s ish dress and bought a pillbox hat so not actual fancy dress but in the theme. If I'm invited again, I will definitely dress up. Lots of lovely shopping opportunities too.

Yes, people do certainly dress up. We go every year and it is great fun putting something together. All the kids are dressed up (they tend to be rockabillies), I'm normally 50's but did stray to the 70's one year. You've reminded me to get sorting!

Right, sounds like I have a project on my plate! Thanks all.

@Ratonastick did you have a good time or are you going today?

I'm off there for the day today!

I went on Friday. Had a great time despite the weather and wore a 50s rockabilly style dress. I met Michael and William Dunlop too so it was an ace day!

Brilliant, my sister & dad went on Friday too, they had a great time despite the weather & wore 50s outfits.

They had to dress vintage as they had passes for the pits.
My sister wore a long Red pleated skirt, navy belted cardi, proper vintage red pillbox hat with a necktie & 50s charity shop find navy handbag.

Dad wore a vintage waistcoat, tie & trilby with his own trousers, shirt & jacket. He looked very dapper.
