Dress for a wedding - my wedding - help?

So DP and I are finally taking the plunge and will be getting married in a simple ceremony with close family followed by a meal. No churches, dances etc. so wanted something fairly low key.

I foolishly thought I could go high end of the high street / lower end designer and pick up a nice dress that would still be special, but not a 'wedding dress' as such. Unfortunately I appear to be shit out of luck.

So S&B - can you help me with my quest?

I'm 5', about a size 10 but with big boobs (which appears to be the problem). Looking for a really nice day dress basically, but one that doesn't look like you might wear it to the office. Sort of thing you might wear to ladies day. Ideally I'd go with a just below the knee, 50s style fit & flare, but beggars can't be choosers....

I've seen some lovely stuff but nothing fits! Any pointers to shops for the small, narrow or hip but busty?

In an idea world I'd wear something like the Max Mara dress I've (hopefully attached). Given that's not available anywhere short of a plane ride away, I've been scouring the usual occasion wear places (House of Fraser, John Lewis, Ted Baker, Coast, Phase 8, Harvey Nichols). FWIW, the Max Mara one is a wedding dress, but it's the shape and length I like - the only colour stipulation I have is 'not black'.

I got married in a floral Vivian of Holloway number. Beautiful dresses, definitely recommend. I love that I can wear my dress again because it isn't obviously a wedding dress.

Try Kitty and Dulcie website. Mine was the pearly queen style. Delivery was just over a week.

Can I throw Susannah into the mix? Gorgeous dresses and they have in house tailoring?

Okay, so I have the dress (well it's being altered) Grin Thanks everyone for inputs.

After some of the suggestions I went to Wed2be, but they couldn't work with my - frankly ludicrous - timeframe, which I really ought to have mentioned in my OP.

But, I found a few places locally that did House of Mooshki and promptly trotted along there thinking that's what I'd try. I didn't buy one in the end although to those who recommended them, they are lovely.

Anyway, this is the result (obviously this is not me - I am probably not this young and certainly not this slim). So umm, yeah, so much for the 'really nice day dress' Grin Eek! Hope I don't feel like a prize pudding at lunch (although DP (DH?!) will be in full kilt regalia, so I'll be in good company).

I will however be treating myself to a Dig For Victory dress for an event I have coming up in late autumn. And probably a Vivien of Holloway just because. Didn't get one off the thread, but did find the shop where I got my dress because of the thread - only 2 miles away and didn't know it existed Smile
