Right. Am on hols and been reduced to using a massive Lidl reusable shopping bag for all the kids' crap/towels/snacks. Please help me find an enormous and slightly less fashion-death alternative. Light weight. Strong. Not too fussed about internal pockets. Under £100.

I use one of my Longchamp le Pliage bags, the large shopping tote Le Pliage Large shopping Tote. They are bomb proof, made of nylon so are waterproof and come in loads of colours. When not in use they fold up small so you always have a spare bag.

I've been looking for one too.

The pilage- I've been resisting that for years! Maybe I need to reconsider. It does tick a lot of boxes but EVERYONE has them in London so I have a weird aversion.

DSis always said that about the pliage...now she has 3! It's a slippery slope Grin. They are fab though.

Free There's a reason why everyone has them....they really are that good. They are lightweight, practical and classic. I have 4 and I don't consider myself a follower.

EraArils · 07/08/2017 07:46

Oh and they can hold the equivalent of a small one bed house.

IKEA bags are slightly less ugly than the Lidl bags, and a bit larger.

The Old Bag Company that I would once have suggested has closed down, but their beach bags are very well thought through. Which leaves the Pliage.

I have a Superbe by Jujube. I could fit my 7 month old in there (I don't but I could!)

I got mine from Happybags website.
