Following from my other posts I'm in need of a pick me up and something to make me look a bit less ill and unhappy. Also in need of new foundation.

There is a set on QVC this morning which I'm tempted by but a couple of questions - has anyone used LG make up before?

It's all in a compact form so is it drying? Also I'm usually a nude beige / deep ivory / neutral in other ranges so which colour foundation should I go for - fair or medium? I don't want to look orange 😮

With QVC you get a 30 day money back guarantee if not satisfied
You could order from them, try the make up for 30 days and return it if not happy

I always buy natural or beige in other brands and I bought the medium LG foundation and it's too dark.
I keep meaning to try it in Light but haven't got round to it yet.

I tried it and thought it was a lovely consistency and coverage. But the fair was way too yellow for me. I haven't tried the lighter one (porcelain?) because it's looks very pale. I've read other reviews which say there is a gap in the colour range for skin with neutral undertones. I usually wear ivory in most brands.

Their concealer is wonderful. I have lots of dark spots on my face and it really gets covered evenly with a real velvety smooth finish without making it look unnatural. I would recommend it.

It's on easy pay today so you get to try it for a month for around £14 plus p&p. There's no problem returning it, all you lose is the postage.
I like the range. I use Porcelain but I am very pale ie Fair in Bare Minerals, NW15 in Mac. Going off what you say I'd be tempted to try Fair, it us to always very yellow. I used it before they brought out Porcelain. The blushers are amazing & you get one in this kit along with all the other things.

Fair isn't always yellow. Wish Mumsnet would get an edit feature for stupid spell check.

Thank you. I ended up opting for the medium - before I saw your post Darklane - so going hoping it's not going to be too dark on me. This is my current one from no7.

I thought I'd give it a go as they did say I could return it even if I had worn it Shock. I get so nervous buying make up. Hate to think of the money I've wasted in the past buying the wrong thing!

It arrived this morning so I've been upstairs playing with make up 😊.

I think it's really nice. I especially like the blusher and the illuminator. The medium seems not too bad colour wise (but it is summer, or supposed to be) maybe the fair would be better in the winter.

Any tips on how to use the eye pencil or how best to apply the foundation? I want a balance between coverage and not looking powdery.

But I'm pleased I took the plunge so thank you.

I ordered it too, Porcelain, but still waiting for it to arrive.
I already use the foundation. It's best to apply it with a brush, any biggish face brush I use a Real Techniques one( Boots or Superdrug)
Just swirl it over the compact & apply it lightly, you can build up to however much coverage you like.
Haven't got the pencil to play with yet but it looks very similar to a Boots No7 one I have, it's called Truffle something, a thick pencil. I use that to draw an arc in the socket & blend it out. They demonstrated it as an eyeliner but it might be too thick for that I'm thinking.
Is the highlighter very sparkly?
Glad you're liking it, looking forward to mine arriving.

SmileAndNod · 08/08/2017 19:27

Exciting!

No the highlighter is more shimmery than sparkly. I used it in the corner of my eyes, above my cheekbones and a dab on my eyes (I probably need to watch some tutorials).
I do have that big brush and I brushed the foundation on like a powder. My face hasn't felt dry at all which surprised me. I think I may need a primer though and I definitely still need a concealer for my dark / purple circles. I currently use benefit boing but thinking about trying one from qvc as pretty much nothing works on them!
