Cleaning white trainers

I have these white Adidas superstar trainers with 'metal' (actually I think they're plastic) toe caps, which I absolutely love. They've got a bit grubby, though. Any thoughts on how best to clean them? They're a sort of suede finish.

I usually just put white trainers in a bucket of vanish, but they are fabric not leather/suede. You can buy specific cleaning products for trainers might be best to go in that direction rather than DIY as yours appear to be 'off white' rather than basic bright white. Also spray them with suede protector/waterproofing spray to avoid any really bad stains or grubbiness

Woly remover gum is great!

Sorry to butt in on this but how do I clean a pair of light blue Nike fabric trainers? Can I put them in the washing machine?

Washing machine for all trainers and canvas shoes

Thanks all - the Woly remover gum definitely looks worth a try. I've also emailed Adidas customer service to ask what they'd recommend. And good thinking re. a protective spray if I do manage to get them clean again!

I use those magic eraser cloths which are meant for removing dirt off walls etc! Work a treat!

Sorry to crash your thread, I could have wrote it myself, my son has just come back from being away and his once white trainers are now grey. I have put in the washing machine but still dirty, so watching this thread.
