I've only just had my first ever batch of Uniqlo clothes delivered- I don't know what took me so long maybetheinfuriatingwebsitehadsomethingtodowithit- anyway, does anyone wear the airism stretch ankle pants outdoors? I mean, the really cheap black ones. I thought I'd get them to lounge about it but I'm actually impressed with them!

Can you link them ?

My DD has 2 pairs of the legging type (grey and black) they are definately not suitable for outdoors , completely see thru (the black ones especially) and the grey pair has a hole in the seam. Hmm after a very short time . ( Indoor loungeing only IMO)
FRT my DD is a tiny size 8 so she's not putting the fabric under undue strain.

Everything else I had bought from Uniqlo is fabulous though.

Love Uniqlo. They desperately need a website re-design though.

ScaramangasThirdNipple · 05/08/2017 15:01

Are these the ones you mean?

They look like the Hush harem trousers to me.

Beadieeye · 05/08/2017 15:15

Yeah they're the ones ☝️
I'm seriously impressed with the material and the fact they flatter my tum 😂 they feel too comfy to leave the house in though (I'm used to being in skinny jeans)

Yes! Same as you I bought them for lounging but now wear them as casual but not scruffy trousers in public

JigglyTuff · 05/08/2017 16:15

Ooh those are nice. I bloody love Uniqlo and buy an awful lot of my work wardrobe there

bananafish81 · 05/08/2017 16:26

I don't know those particular leggings but omg I love uniqlo.

I pretty much almost exclusively wear uniqlo to work

Everything goes with everything else, it's good quality for very reasonable prices, and it all washes really well

  • leggings trousers in black / navy / grey / grey check
  • smart cropped trousers in black and grey
  • a pair of their heat tech jeans
  • easy care blouses in black / white / pale blue / grey
  • heat tech or Supima cotton tops
  • Merino wool sweaters in light + dark grey / black / purple

That plus a pair of Levis & J brand jeans, and a couple of breton tops, is basically my go to wardrobe. Have a few H&M bits for summer, and a chambray shirt from Topshop I adore, but can almost guarantee any day of the week I'll be wearing something from uniqlo

Plus I sleep in their linen t-shirts and boxer briefs in summer / lounge pants PJ bottoms in winter

I ❤️ Uniqlo

I feel a bit churlish saying this because they're probably one of my top five shops but I don't love them. I think the fact that they're one of my go-tos, just shows how poor the high street is these days.

I do like their utiliarian style but I don't get on with their colours - they may have a big choice but half the time none of them suit me.

At least they still do some natural fabrics and I like their merino knitwear but I thought their cashmere was shite. Overall I find the quality about as random as H&M.

I think the best thing about them is their collaborations. I like the way they often go for designers who aren't big names - and who actually have something to prove - rather than some celeb with a vanity project. I really liked the U range last year and I'm looking forward to JW Anderson.

ShaneBitchy · 05/08/2017 16:54

I have those, I love the fact they're so high waisted. I'm always ordering from Uniqlo, I have two jumpsuits, about five playsuits, trousers for work, trousers for weekends. Disney tops for the kids, I spend a fortune online with them Blush

MrsDoylesTeabags · 05/08/2017 17:00

I like those trousers, what is the sizing like? I'm a size 10 would I go for small or medium?

ShaneBitchy · 05/08/2017 17:06

They come up big, I'd go for small. I'm an 8 and I have them in small but I should have got XS. I buy XS in the playsuits.

Beadieeye · 05/08/2017 17:07

Oooh thanks all.
Glad to hear they wash well, I can't believe some of the bargs I've got. Now I've had a few things I'll order again (if I don't give up or throw my phone at the wall thanks to the website). Will keep an eye out for collabs!
I'm a size 10 and the mediums fit me including the trousers. They are just right although I can be a 12 in jeans, have a bit of a belly and no bum 🍏 🙈

I'm pleased the trousers are getting good reviews as I bought a pair last week in the sale, although I haven't worn them yet.

Floisme · 05/08/2017 17:19

Beadi sorry for pissing on your parade - I now feel mean as well as churlish. Glad your trews are good.

Beadieeye · 05/08/2017 17:31

No worries Flo! I like a good mix of stores and online. I think this will be a new go-to for basics and non-fashiony staples, I'm pleased with the childrenswear aswell.

DS and I both luff Uniqlo. It's where I start my shopping for anything basic. I get what people say about colours (but they are way better than Lands End as not so strident in colour, and, big plus, the navy is always the same navy across a season) they fit us well, and they wash and wear much better than many things costing vastly more.

parrotseatemall · 06/08/2017 02:06

Those trousers look great but do you think they'd suit bigger sizes or are they more for slimmer people? I'm about a 14 Blush.

ShaneBitchy · 06/08/2017 07:48

I'd say any size, they are really flattering and comfy.

ZooLanePetCorner · 06/08/2017 10:07

I've been quite impressed with the merino and cotton cardigans I got, agree though the colour selection isnt good, only the navy usually appeals

MrsDoylesTeabags · 06/08/2017 10:48

Thanks, I'm going shopping!!

AmyOb · 06/08/2017 10:57

They really look comfortable. Thanks for the link. I should buy one of these for me and see how it goes.

fivefour3twoone · 06/08/2017 17:01

If I'm a 12 on top do I need a medium or large?
