A Wwig Less Wiggy

I've had to buy a wig due to most of my hair coming out from being seriously anaemic. It's ok, but is supposed to be made with human hair but it still has that "sheen" that makes it look like a wig. Maybe I just feel self-conscious but I want it to look more hair like and less sheeny, is there a way I could do this?

Try washing it, it should remove the sheen.

Could you get it cut? I know someone who had one after losing hair due to
chemo, and the place she got it from cut a few layers in and you couldn't tell it was a wig

Dust some talcum powder from the root of the wig and brush it out, it removes that OTT shine

Thanks everyone, have put some talc on, will wash it once I get some shampoo for processed hair and it could do with a cut and proper shaping anyway so will do all three of these!
