Considering dying my hair...

I've had my hair coloured at the hairdresser for years, but am thinking about colouring it at home. Mostly to save money. I've got short hair, with grey - difficult to say how much as I have it coloured monthly but all fair bit on my sides, and some at the (v short) back. That's where it shows through first. I guess my hair is a mousy brown with a hint of red (at one stage it looked v ginger when it was being coloured a lighter shade Shock)

Any recommendations for a natural looking brand (with shade recommendations if poss) that doesn't look too 'solid' IYKWIM

I've been dying my hair for years at home. I've recently discovered Henna. It's much cheaper and entirely natural and you can get it in a range of shades.

Henna henna henna! Just done my hair this afternoon. It is amazing. Left on for two hours and it's covered greys. You have reddish hair so will be fine to use as is but mine is dark so I added some coffee. Got the henna from Morrisons about £1.50. The shine is incredible. Very happy.

Is there a blonde henna ( that won't go red on my my already blonde streaks) that will pick up the greys and leave my brown alone?
Or am I asking for a miracle?

Not henna but natural/no ppds with a decent phone helpline.
