Alterations question

I am just wondering if this is possible - I bought a linen cardigan in a size 14 and I'm a size 12, I can't tell if I should wear it in s slouchy fashion or whether I need it taken in? Is that even possible? The arm length is fine it's just the sides are a tiny bit baggy.

Ask a local person? I recently took a bunch of jeans to my local person and she told me what she could do.

My alterations person doesn't take in knitwear. If the cardi is woven fabric, it might be okay, but for knit it's too hard to cut a bit off and sew back together, without the whole thing unravelling. You might be better to just embrace the oversized look.

You could alter it with an overlocker fairly unobtrusively if it's that fine knit fabric. It's worth asking someone I'd say.
