Be honest, I can take it!

I need gold sandals for a ball. I can't do very high heels and want something with a back for a bit of extra support for my old addled 50 year old trotters! 😁

I was fully expecting to say yes, but actually I quite like them! They are not exactly...how can I put it?...sophisticated, but fun and probably quite flattering on.

If you are looking for comfort/support then a block heel would be better.

Well to be honest I have posted my fair share of hideous shoes on here over the years and have had to accept that my taste in shoes is a bit shit! I'm pleased you like them!

I'm astounded at how high some heels are these days, these would be 'high heels' when I was in my twenties but are classed as mid or low now, which is ridiculous. They're certainly as high as I could go.

mangle I love the look of the second ones you posted and I did consider them but they look even higher and the reviews said they're very uncomfortable so that put me off!

I think they're fine but BG they are high unless you are used to high heels and you will be dancing barefoot after an hour.

I'd have a look at the V by Viv blocks if you want that height, or higher with platforms that make the actual rise lower, or just plain lower! And take some easy slip ons in your purse for getting home..and taxi fares..

Ooo they remind me of the shoes I used to wear when I did ballroom dancing - not that that's a bad thing!
